What Counts as a Plumbing Emergency

If you have to ask, call. But generally: a burst or leaking pipe you can't stop, sewage backing up into tubs or showers, a water heater leaking from the tank, a main shut-off that won't close, a gas smell (leave the house first, then call), a toilet that's the only one and won't work, or any active leak near electrical.

A slow drain, a dripping faucet or a running toilet is annoying but it can usually wait until morning, and if it can, we'll tell you so you're not paying after-hours rates for something that isn't urgent.

What to Do While You Wait for Us

  • Shut off the water. For a fixture, the valve is under the sink or behind the toilet. For the whole house, the main shut-off is usually near the front hose bib, in the garage or at the meter by the street.
  • For a leaking water heater, turn off the cold water valve on top of the tank. Gas units: turn the gas valve to "off." Electric units: switch off the breaker.
  • Sewage backup: stop running water anywhere in the house. Every flush and load makes it worse.
  • Move rugs, boxes and anything electrical out of the water.
  • If you smell gas, get everyone out of the house and call from outside.

How Emergency Calls Work

Call 602-428-2585 any hour. You'll reach a person, not a menu. Tell us what's happening and where you are, and we'll give you an honest arrival window. When we get there we stop the immediate problem first, then explain what caused it and what a proper repair looks like. Sometimes that's a same-visit fix. Sometimes it's a temporary cap tonight and a scheduled repair when parts or daylight make sense. Either way you'll know the price before we start.

We cover Phoenix and the surrounding cities, including Glendale, Peoria, Tempe, Scottsdale and Chandler, 24 hours a day, weekends and holidays included.

The Emergencies We See Most in Phoenix

Water heaters failing in summer when demand and heat are both at their peak. Supply lines under sinks and behind toilets letting go after years of hard water. Sewer mains backing up after the first big monsoon storm pushes debris and roots into an already-narrowed line. Slab leaks that show up as a warm spot on the floor and a bill that doubled. None of them are unusual, and none of them get better by waiting.

Questions We Get Asked

Do you charge more after hours?

After-hours calls carry an emergency rate, and we'll tell you what it is when you call. If your problem can safely wait until business hours, we'll say so and you can decide.

How fast can you get here?

It depends on where you are and where our truck is, but we'll give you a real estimate on the phone, not a vague "as soon as we can."

Can you fix it tonight?

Usually we can at least stop the damage tonight. Whether the full repair happens on the spot depends on parts and the job. We carry common supply lines, valves, fittings and water heater parts on the truck.

Should I call my insurance first?

Call us first to stop the water, then your insurer. Take photos before we start if you can. We'll document what we find.
