Toilet, Faucet and Fixture Repair in Phoenix
Before we did sewer lines and repipes, we did faucets and toilets, and we still do a lot of them. They're small jobs, but a running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a day and a dripping faucet is money going down the drain literally. Phoenix hard water is hard on all of it: it scales up fill valves, seizes cartridges and eats washers. Most of these repairs are quick, and we carry the common parts on the truck.
Toilets
- Running toilets: fill valve, flapper or flush valve replacement
- Weak or incomplete flushes, often mineral buildup in the rim jets
- Toilets that rock, leak at the base or need a new wax ring
- Clogs that a plunger won't move
- Cracked tanks and bowls: replacement
- New toilet installation, including comfort-height and water-saving models
- Shut-off valves and supply lines that have corroded or won't close
Faucets
Drips, low flow, handles that are stiff or loose, sprayers that won't retract. We rebuild cartridge, ball and ceramic-disc faucets when parts are available and replace them when they aren't. We install new kitchen, bath and utility faucets, including ones you've bought yourself, and we make sure the supply lines and shut-offs beneath them are sound while we're there.
Showers and Tubs
Shower valves that won't hold a temperature, diverters that send water to both the tub and the shower head, tub spouts that leak behind the wall. We replace shower cartridges, pressure-balance and thermostatic valves, and full valve bodies when the old one is done, and we set them so you're not adjusting the handle a millimeter at a time.
Everything Else With a Water Connection
Dishwasher hookups, refrigerator ice maker lines, hose bibs, laundry boxes and washer valves, bathroom and kitchen remodel rough-ins, and fixture upgrades throughout the house. If it's a plumbing fixture, we install and repair it.
Questions We Get Asked
My toilet runs on and off by itself. What is it?
Almost always a worn flapper letting water seep into the bowl until the fill valve kicks on. It's a quick fix.
Can you install a faucet I bought at the store?
Yes. Bring it, we'll install it, and we'll tell you if anything under the sink needs attention first.
Why does my shower go cold when someone flushes?
A pressure-balance valve is designed to prevent that. If yours doesn't, the cartridge is likely worn or the valve is an older non-balancing type. Both are replaceable.
Is it worth repairing an old toilet or should I replace it?
If the porcelain is sound, a rebuild of the internals is cheap and works. If it's cracked, constantly clogging, or a pre-1994 high-water model, a new toilet pays for itself in water savings.
